"The Swainson's Thrush (Catharus ustulatus) sings a beautiful song typical of the Catharus thrushes. Note that it rises in tone, whereas the Veery's falls. This individual was singing in the willows along Gold Creek in Gunnison County, Colorado. They are difficult to record in this habitat, as they like to be right next to a beautiful, but noisy, mountain stream."

This recording doesn't really do it justice. Maybe it's not exactly the same species. Or maybe recording played on computer not match echoing Washington forest on sunny warm summer day.
