It poked me in the head that we share quite a lot of high-bandwidth inter-species language. It just has whines, growls, use of eyes and muscle tension, yelps, etc, where the words are all implicit instead of explicit.
Nebu tells me "I'm bored, fix it" or tells the room "I'm going fucking nuts!!" several hours a day.
I'm not confident that getting a kitten will do much to help with that, but I am confident that a kitten may feel like another 20 year sentence constraining everything about my life.
