the windows freeware situation appears to be pathetic, as finding decent utilities to do arbitrary text file line ending conversions seems to be not possible unless you want to pay $140. i think i to program one such. or maybe sneak in, late at night, convert all world to same endian and same file system and same encoding and same line endings.
brain small today. poke, poke. gurgles. poke. shrugs. brain small. unresponsive.
also: attn: known universe: when processing 95805 files, it's probably not wise to have two progress bars and various counts and file names displaying for every single file. perhaps the greater pleasure would come from updating every 1/2 second?
