portland seems to be being almost twice as much violent crime as seattle, plus higher property tax, plus 9% income tax, plus more unemployment, plus lower 'comfort index', plus fewer fruitbat jobs, so it's looking more seattley.

and yet my remembers tell me portland more was liked. perhaps it's like the candies which taste of good but behave of bad.
