it is clear that we need new titles indicating marital status for men.

I think actually "Mister" goes with "Missus", and the thingy for men who don't want to reveal their status shouls be, like, "Mt" or "Moz".

by syllables, maybe, but Mr. currently goes with the set of all three, and therefore is equiv to not specifying marital status, as is Ms., and therefore, suchas.

What is clear to you is not clear to me. What is clear to me is that it is better not to have any marital status attached to honorifics, so I'm with staying with Mr./Ms. (and possibly something gender-neutral) and phasing out the others.

Well, clearly! Like glass, like water, like glass in water! Here, have a drink. No, wait, let me put water in a glass instead.

This is one of those things in society where men are self-defined and women are defined by their status or refusal of status.

there is such a point?

Miss = Master - means not yet of the age of maturity.

Boys are usually no longer called Master after 13 or 12, but girls get it until 18. By etiquette a woman of the age of majority who is not married should be Ms. She is no longer a Miss.

Ms. = Mr. Self defined individual.

Mrs means Mistress of..

I think we should call everyone Ms., Mrs., and Miss.
