When in doubt, go buy lots of books!

This is just one of the ways to provide yourself with books.

words i don't like: carbs, burbs.

I bet you *do* like "carburetor" though!

I've always felt somewhat unsettled about that one.

I mean, 'crankshaft', sure, but 'carburetor'?

Ordinarily I would, but am currently suffering from an inability to find lots of books I want.

I bought the UNabridged version of The Count of Monte Cristo just yesterday. I never read it in high school or college. I also bought The Dalai Lama's Little Book of Inner Peace.

Ari has to read the abridged version this summer. This ought to prove an interesting assignment. She's already asked if she can listen to the "book on tape" and/or "watch the movie".

Uh, "NO and NO again", I told her.

I did buy the Cliff Notes, but I have secreted them away for now...I will only allow her to read them AFTER she has read the chapters ;)

That reminds me that I need to visit the library again soon.

This is why I work at Borders. Even with a 33% discount, I spent over $200 last time I worked there for one day.

In my virtuous state of virtue, i spent less than $100!
I shine as an example.
