Why must all software have teh suck?

"Oh cool, Graphviz does just what I need!"

Until I'm close to the end, and add just two more nodes, and suddenly it has to vomit lines halfway to Antarctica.

"I should rewrite this so it does what it should do." × 93,488.

Note to self: don't have bought "Advanced System Optimizer", even if it did get great reviews at that one site. It's a useless buggy monstrosity.

And don't trust that one site.

Particularly since it also recommended Webroot Spy Sweeper, which had several bizarre false positives.

Accidentally bought 61 key touch-sensitive MIDI keyboard. Oop. Viciously attacked by sale, managed to escape the more expensive model by holding the less expensive one between me and it.

Laundered Laundry. Laundered Portions of House. Mostly avoided musing on the futility of human interactions. Paid payables.

to be printed and tucked into polyhedra book, mayhap

  • NoteWorthy Composer - can't draw a grand staff right; treble clef out of synch with bass clef
  • MidiNote Composer - ditto; interface problems and bugs
  • MagicScore Maestro - froze first time it ran; imported midi file incorrectly; uses tons of GDI objects
  •

We interrupt this interruption to announce the opentranslation genius idea which will lead to the first true artificial intelligence, may recursion have mercy on our souls.

I'm always amused about the quotes on the crash message,

The memory could not be read

The memory could not be "read". The program has encountered an "error". Perhaps "you" have lost some "work" you wanted "saved".

You can download the beta here

I encountered a few bugs right away. I suspect it has a long way to go before it's a Photoshop killer; don't know how it compares to Illustrator. I did like it way back when it was Fractal Design Expression and was sorry to see it disappear.

It's based on Creature House Expression 3 (but with a new UI), which you can see here:
1, 2, 3

You can download Creature House Expression 3.3 Beta too... I imagine it's more functional than Acrylic at the moment.
