it's probably not healthy for me to sit for hours thinking about various forms of justice/revenge against child molestors, rapists, abusers, pimps, murderers, warmongers, etc.

Nope. It's not. I have done that and thoughts become torturous and murderous. Not like me at all.

Someone has to do it!

It is on thing to think about doing something like that and another to actually go and do something about it.

exactly;* it might be worthwhile if i had an opportunity to do it, but mostly i don't know the people. also, i don't have the magic powers needed for some of it.

(*yes i know that's not what you meant)

It can be healthy.. If you've a personal injustice to right.. to know what should be done.. It is not healthy if you are just overwhelmed at the worlds ills. twopence.

maybe not, but someone's gotta do it (i do sometimes and i blame watching massive amounts of law and order SVU)

Well, when I get really, really upset, I'll listen to Samuel L.Jackson's Ezekiel 25:17 from Pulp Fiction.

Hell, I'll stand up and pantomime the whole thing!

And it works to relieve the tension every time :)
