It's other-people day; let's drop in on them
Female vs male narcissississts
Do people "drop by" any more?
I kind of would like to have a home where people stopped by and sat about reading or playing with the cats or building odd structures on the table, but perhaps that doesn't happen in homes without children, and perhaps I'm stuck in the ideas of the past.

It doesn't necessrily happen in homes with children, either. We never have any dropping-by happen. Maybe in the new house? It's not so remote.
It's a nice idea, though, and I wish it happened more these days.

of course, if they wanted to find me, they would need to come to my work - but that is a different problem entirely.

they tend to not stay long, which is okay. but there are lots of them.
the ants drop by once in a while, just to see how dirty the kitchen floor is and maybe taste the small drips of honey that have leaked out of the squeezer.
the county dropped by (via mail) to remind me I owe them $4000 in property tax. they didn't seem to want any chai, just a check.
some hair balls dropped by and seem to be congregating on the edges of the stairs to the basement. another popular hang out seems to be behind the dining room door.
not many people drop by, though.
